We all could use some hopeful news this week, and the end of May and all of June promise to be busy times for us jammers.
As you may know, we’re playing at Pelagic Tuesday, May 31. Normal time: 7 p.m. The weather forecast promises a warm but not rainy evening. See you on the patio!
Thursday, June 2, we’re back to our regularly scheduled jam at the church, again at 7.
Bonnie brought a new song, “Island Style,” which you’ll find in Dropbox, and linked below. Here’s Cynthia Lin and her students playing it! Let’s give it a go Thursday.
The next jam will be Thursday, June 16, downtown Raleigh. We’ll give Raleigh Night Market another try and hope for reasonable weather. If it’s awful (again), we’ll play at the church. Hope for unseasonably cool temps and clear skies.
Make Music Day!
It’s official. We’ll play at Pelagic Tuesday, June 21, 7 p.m., as part of Make Music Day, the international celebration of the solstice … and music.
We’ll be the only performance affiliated with MMD in the Triangle. Don’t worry. We’ll play our normal goofy and lightly organized jam session, with random selections from our catalog. It’s possible we’ll have a few more visitors than normal. We may pick up a few new strummers as well.
It’ll be in the normal spot(s): On the sidewalk patio if weather allows; indoors if it doesn’t. Also, we won’t play at Pelagic June 28.
Open Mic!
June has five Thursdays, so we’ll have an Open Mic at the church, Thursday, June 30, 7 p.m. Prepare a song or three to perform. Find collaborators if you wish (please ask them in advance!). Drop by to be part of the audience if you decide not to play. Plan to have fun.

See you at Pelagic!
