It’s too bad we had mid-July weather in mid-May and had to miss the Raleigh Night Market. But … we had a great jam at the church Thursday night. We ran through most of the setlist we would have played, including this delightful performance by Nell, Marie, and Beth, aka The Bondettes, with Dennis’ assistance on bass.
The crowds downtown missed out, I must say.
Our next gig will be our regular monthly wingding Tuesday, May 31, 7 p.m. at Pelagic Beer and Wine, 300 Pace Street, downtown Raleigh (near the Krispy Kreme). We’ll play whatever we feel like doing. Bring your instruments and music stands. Pelagic will provide chairs. We’ll sit outside if at all possible (and the early forecasts look good).
June promises to be busy! Our first jam will be the 2nd (two days after Pelagic); we’ll give the Night Market another try on the 16th; we have an open mic the 30th — start working on a song to perform for all us strummers; and we’ll play Pelagic, too.
Worldwide Make Music Day is on the Solstice, Tuesday the 21st. We will try to get together then in some form. Stay tuned for that!
