We’re returning to downtown Raleigh Thursday the 19th to play for the patrons of the Raleigh Night Market! Since our last appearance, things have changed a lot. The market has expanded to include Moore Square Park, and that’s where we’ll set up.
What you need to know:
We’ll play from ~7 to 9 p.m.
We’ll be at the main stage, near Square Burger (see map below)
We’ll follow a performer who’s playing from 5-7, so we won’t set up until they’re done
You should bring your uke (plus kazoo or other appropriate instruments), your music, your music stand, and a chair if you wish to sit
We’ll play songs from the linked playlist (also to be uploaded to Dropbox — check with me for details if you need them)
We don’t know about the PA situation, but we’ll have access to electricity, at a minimum. I hope we’ll have some lights, too, but I recommend bringing a reading light for your music stand just in case
Come early if you want to check out any of the 75+ vendors operating there, including food and beer trucks
Have fun!
If it is raining or may rain, see below for alternate instructions!
If you don’t know how to find Moore Square, here’s a map of the vicinity (TIL there is an area called “Hungry Neck North”):
There are several parking lots and garages nearby, but allow time to park and take your stuff.
Once you get to Moore Square, look for the tent and stage area near Square Burger (and maybe buy a burger … )
The entire park, plus Martin Street and the block to the immediate south, will be covered with tents and people. It’s quite a show.
If we have bad weather …
In other words, if there are rain, storms, or a reasonable threat of either, we won’t play outdoors. Instead, we will play at the Church of the Nativity as we normally would on the third Thursday of the month. Regular jam!
I will send an email, post on Facebook, and post in Instagram if we are NOT playing at the Night Market. If you don’t get a message, it’s showtime!
Whatever you do, plan to play some ukulele from 7 to 9 Thursday.

See you somewhere!
